Women’s Rating Chess: Four players share top slot after round-3

Four players sharing the top slot in the Jaya Women's FIDE Rating Chess Tournament secured the full three points after the third round matches held at the Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall-Room on Saturday.

The leaders are: FM Noshin Anjum, WIM Rani Hamid, WCM Kazi Zarin Tasnim, and WCM Nusrat Jahan Alo.

Three other players—WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, WFM Wadifa Ahmed, and Arshiya Das—shared the secind position, collecting 2.5 points each.

The second and third round matches were held on Saturday.

In the second round, WFM Noshin Anjum beat Tasnia Tarannum Orpa, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva beat Neelava Choudhury, Afrin Jahan Munia beat WCM Ahmed Walijah, WCM Jannatul Ferdous drew with WCM Warsia Kushbu, Jinnat Akter Shahnaz beat WCM Israt Jahan Diba, WFM Wadifa Ahmed drew with WCM Sabikun Nahar Tonima, WIM Rani Hamid beat Jesmin Akter, Kazi Zarin Tasnim beat Thaku Zania Haque, WCM Nusrat Jahan Alo beat Aysha Akter Habiba, WFM Zakia Sultana beat Raiba Sobhan Adhora, Arshiya Das beat Samira Akter, and Suraiya Akter beat Jannatul Preety.

In the day's third round, WFM Noshin Anjum beat WFM Zakia Sultana, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva drew with Arshiya Das, WIM Rani Hamid beat Afrin Jahan Munia, WCM Suraiya Akter, WCM Nusrat Jahan Alo beat Jinnat Akter Shahnaz, WCM Jannatul Ferdous drew with WCM Sabikun Nahar Tonima, WFM Wadifa Ahmed beat Ahona Dey, and WCM Ahmed Walijah beat WCM Warsia Kushbu.

The fourth round of matches will be held on Sunday from 3:30 pm at the same venue.
