In Pirganj Upazila of Thakurgaon, a rally and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of Begum Rokeya Day and International Women's Violence Prevention Party under the theme 'Investment for women, prevention of violence'.
On Saturday (December 9) morning, a rally was taken out from the Upazila Parishad premises organized by the Upazila Administration and the Directorate of Women Affairs. A discussion meeting was held at the upazila auditorium on different roads.
Upazila Executive Officer Shahriar Nazir spoke in the discussion meeting - Upazila Chairman Akhtarul Islam, Upazila Women's Awami League President Delwara Bulbul, Pirganj Press Club President Zainal Abedin Babul, Pilot High School Teacher and President of Ushi Mahila Sansthan Ferdousi Begum, Joyita Sarmiron Akhtar and others spoke.
