Former Miss World contestant Sherica de Armas is no more. This young woman, who represented Uruguay in the Miss World competition in 2015, died on October 13 at the age of 26. She was suffering from uterine cancer for a long time. Armas was undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
NDTV reported that the death of Cherika de Armas has caused mourning in Uruguay as well as around the world.
Her brother Make D'Armas wrote on social media — 'Grow up, little sister. Be like this always and forever.'
Miss Universe Uruguay 2022 Carla Romero mourns her death. He wrote — Mrs. D'Armas is 'the pride of this world. One of the most beautiful women I have seen in my life.'
The 26-year-old actress was not among the top 30 in the 2015 Miss World pageant held in China. However, he was one of only 18-year-olds to participate in the competition.
In an interview at that time, she said, 'I always wanted to be a model, be it a beauty model, an advertisement model or a catwalk model. I love everything related to fashion and I think it is every girl's dream to participate in a beauty pageant and get a chance at Miss Universe. I am very happy to be in this challenging experience.
