Claudia Goldin wins Nobel Prize in Economics

Professor Claudia Goldin of Harvard University won the Nobel Prize in Economics this year. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences of Sweden announced the name of this economist professor as the 2023 Nobel laureate in economics in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, around 4:15 local time on Monday.

The Nobel Prize in Economics has been awarded since 1969. A total of 54 Nobel Prizes have been awarded in this field till 2022. He won the 55th award this year.

The 2022 Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to Ben Bernan, Douglas Diamond and Philip Dybvig. He was awarded for his research on banks and financial crises.

Earlier in 2021, the Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to David Card, Joshua D'Angrist and Guido W. Imbens. David Card received the award for his contributions to labor economics and research on angst and imbecile causality.
