The price of gold has been reduced again in the country's market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of the best quality gold by Tk 1,283 to Tk 99,960.
Bajus said in a notification on Wednesday (September 27) that the new prices will be effective from Thursday (September 28).
According to the notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new prices, per bhari (11.664 grams) of 22 carat gold will cost Tk 99 thousand 960. Apart from this, the price of 21 carat gold will be 95 thousand 411 taka, 18 carat 81 thousand 765 taka and the price of Sanatam method has been fixed at 68 thousand 118 taka.
Before this, on August 24, the price of gold rose to the highest in the history of the country. At that time, Bajus set the price of the best quality gold at 1 lakh 1 thousand 243 by increasing it by 2 thousand 216 taka.
