Jatiya Press Club (JPC) President Farida Yasmin has paid a visit to the new Ambassador of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen and exchanged views.
The meeting took place at the Chinese embassy in Dhaka on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including exchange programs for journalists and women empowerment.
While talking with the JPC president, the ambassador expressed his continued interest to strengthen the relationship between the two nations.
Yao also expressed his great pleasure to come to Bangladesh to serve as 16th Ambassador of China to Bangladesh.
As an important country in South Asia and a rapidly emerging economy, Bangladesh is playing an irreplaceable role in regional and international affairs, he said.
Yao thanked and paid a tribute to Bangladeshi professionals for stern support to the betterment of China-Bangladesh relations.
