The fifth shipment of machinery for the construction of Bangabandhu Railway Bridge reached Mongla Port in the district on Monday.
A Panama-flagged ship ‘MV Thor-Friend’ carrying 1537.700 tonnes of machinery products of 168 packages reached the Mongla port at 12:00 noon, port authorities said.
On September 20, the ship left Singapore’s Hai Phong port.
The Mongla Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa said, now the goods will be taken to Sirajganj for Bangabandhu Rail Bridge construction on river route after releasing those from the ship.
